Description
Sweet-Doll-Face asked me to draw her two orcs, Red and Blue, from TF2. Her exact request was "The blue one with a smile, red looking upset and angry with her hair down and really long" and, as you can see, i kind of completely ignored that. But hopefully she'll like it anyway! This was a set-up I've been considering for a while, and it was really fun to do. Some of it was done in pencil and some in fine point marker, and the character designs are based on this picture by MaskMasterGP :I lifted the color schemed from it directly using an eye dropper tool -- I love it when things can be nice and easy like that. Very little chance of me screwing the shades up.

I'll say this for you, you took the characters from the supplied photo and definitely made them your own. What a difference in the styles. Yours being much less cartoonish and being much more realistic. Impressive transformation. The color scheme of the girls is very nice and really helps to contrast their personalities. I like how everything about them is opposite. Red/blue, goofy/serious, blond hair/brown hair you get the point. This really helps to create some character development and tells us a lot about the girls without really knowing their backstory. Your technical skills seem excellent. Great line work, coloring, and shading.
If there is one aspect of the drawing that I find to be a distraction it's Blue's arm. You drew each of Red's arms outside the border and they look great. I think had you drawn what was left of Blues arm the drawing would have looked complete.
Other than the missing arm this is an excellent drawing and I'm sure Sweet Doll Face will be very happy.

Thank you so much! You are not the first to mention Blu's arm; I just had no other idea of what to do with it at the time (at least not that would let me keep the Instagram-friendly aspect ratio). It's something I'll keep in mind for future pieces, though.

But if I wanted to critique this pic I would say that blue hand is a little off.
