Description Secret # 14
I have always been calm and level headed, never getting angry. Now I fell myself bottling anger and I'm afraid of it. I don't want to be an angry person and I don't want to explode.

Anger is sometimes the product of frustrated desires, goals or expectations.
I would suggest looking for the underlying desires that are being frustrated. Things that are not going the way that you would like and is robbing you of a sense of progress (which is always a good thing to have). Identifying unmet desires/goals/expectations is also a good why to understand yourself - what's motivating you, what you want out of life, things that need to be fixed in a relationship.

Sometimes, for me, it's because the shit if building up inside and I have too many emotions that are "unresolved" and I fear that I am about to get overwhelmed. I get impatient with people and situations that demand some emotional energy when I have too much going on inside and no energy to give and so react in anger.

ps. what works for me is journaling. At the end of the day I go back over every emotional/social interact and try to ID what I was feeling.
Why did I get embarrassed in that situation? Why was i so tense talking to the person? What was it about that person that pissed me off? Am I justified in thinking that they are a complete dickhead? (Probably yes, because I am always right!)

I sometimes try taking out my anger on inanimate objects. I'd rather not get angry at all, but it's better than taking it out on people (or animals, for that matter).

I used to scream underwater, but then the tub got dirty and now it's just icky and gross, so I use a pillow.
