xD A week ago, I heard that 80's song called "Message in a bottle" (who was singing that again...? The Police...? Or Sting...?).
Anyway, I thought the title was too cool for not using it for a picture, and this instantly appeared in my mind. It doesn't "relate" to the song, just to the words of a "message in a bottle"...
I guess I could have put more work and more effort in this picture because I really liked the idea; but lately I really have no time for drawing at all, so I just tried to make a little *something* at least and have fun, instead of forcing myself to do something boringly long and complicated to draw... and anyway I will have plenty of new ideas when I finally have time for drawing... xD;;
So yes, it could have used some refinement. But I don't have the time. :3
Apart from that, I pretty much like the result, though I guess that many people will find it too simple.
Yes, my skills at drawing hands and feet could definitely use some work.... but who cares, hands and feets are so overrated nowadays. (xD J/k).
At least I tried!
I hope you will enjoy this! I don't think I'll have much stuff to submit in the next few weeks (but who knows), so...

Oh wow. I like this one a lot. The blood from her finger unerves me a little bit, but that's just me. Amazing job with her hands and feet - they're so much better than what I can do.

But you have to tell me: where did you get the idea for the dress design? I love the way the garthers (is that spelled right?) are on top of the skirt, instead of underneath it... would you be able to do that with ANY garthered top, or does is require a special one with extra long garthers?

I've got no idea, I never tried that in real life and never saw a dress like that...
I guess it would work if you have long enough garthers, but it would probably be kind of heavy and make weird folds on the top.

Hands and feet don't look to bad to me, but then again, I'm not artist. I think what I liked the most is that nice almost water colour style hash about the bottle. Helps drive home the idea of the glass bottle. And while I've never been one for blood, I do rather find it touching that she would write out a love letter in hers. Now that's dedication!

Well, actually it wasn't supposed to be blood, I thought of this as ink left at the bottom of an ink bottle. It was going to be black, but I changed it for red to make it stand out. I didn't realise while doing it that it looked like blood indeed. xD;

Hmmmm... There needs to be more ink in the bottom of the bottle for the ink idea to work. Like maybe there should be a whole lot more ink. Like maybe it should be soaking up her ankles or something... Still a good pic, a little different the a typical pose shot.
