Please someone shoot me. A vampire. Where did that one come from?! xD;; I'm the girl who takes a pride in having NOT read ANY of Anne Rice's book because, you know, vampires are overdone.
Well, okay, I'll have to admit it: vampires are fun.
Call me a clichΓ©.
I've had this lineart done for ages... (Or, at least, weeks...) But I had no idea of how to colour it.
Then today I had this sudden urge to draw something for myself, and I decided to go with this lineart. To say the truth, I'm not really happy with how the colouring came out, there are many things I would have changed if I could (the joys of traditional media!). But hey, I got around to try out a few things I really wanted to try, and that was worth it. I hope you will like it nonetheless.

(It's not so much that vampires are overdone, but that people can get lazy when designing them, and depend entirely on
preexisting traits, and not bother to give the poor thing an actual personality of its own.

Just gonna throw this out there...Anne Rice is the REASON vampires are overdone. She started the craze. And your art is fantastic, even if it wasn't meant to be a vamp. The pose has a dilicious (I've mangled that word but can't be bothered to look it up) amount of cynicsm to it. XD

Kmye, I realize that βTake me Outβ is a bit dated but I remains my favorite on your DA gallery. The image is a bit closer to the viewer. The contrast is really nice. Other images in your gallery have similar color choices in the subject and the background, causing the subject to fall into the background. The missing corner works really well. The title is quite clever. The dress is fun. I check your gallery regularly but this is the image that I spend the most time with.
