The picture was right there in my head and had to get out.
I rather like it, the only thing that bothers me is that the scan really doesn't do it justice. I tried, but didn't manage to get a better scan, tried to adjust it with Photoshop, but...
The original still looks ten times better.Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this. I like how she seems to stand in the middle of a theater background. I like the lack of perspective. I like her puffy red hair.
The dress is somewhat similar to my L'oiseau picture, I just can't get enough of big pretty dresses!
And YAY!! Buttons!! It had been too long since I last drew buttons.

I've seen a few of your other paintings and this one really struck me. The hair, mostly, having no outline and being flshy red and alll... really great.

I've had a look at your gallery and love all your work. I've always wondered about markers but never used them. I may give them a try now but doubt I could get anywhere near as good results as you do. I love the unfussy style of your art -wonderful!

Markers are definitely worth a try, they're a very nice medium to work with. If you can find them, Promarkers are great markers for beginners - rather cheap but they give great results.

Many thanks. I've just bought some Promarkers from Hobbycraft and I did find them easy to work with, although I think I need loads of practice!! Thanks for the tip.
