so this a rough draft of an image i plan to draw bigger with more detailplease tell me things that you think would make the layout more appealing
and things that need to be fixed

Anyways, for the background pic w/ taynas (^_^), when wings are moving through the air they don't stay still, obviously, I suggest watching some nature show about birds to give wings that more fluid look... just a thought....

Okay so!
The arms of the two front characters need work, obviously, since you've just got a rough shape to them. His arm just looks too straight and unfinished.. probably because it's unfinished! Her right arm seems twisted somehow at the wrist?
Also, they seem to only have one wing each or something to that effect... which is odd, unless that is how you wanted it?
And, one more, background=necessary, because the flying one looks like a mini-person!
HOWEVER! I do like the face shapes (my biggest pain), the hair, the clothing. I love the center character's expression. Plus, the scales=cool.
Hopefully helpful! Overall it is a happy picture, just little glitches that you are probably totally aware of that need working out.

hmmm, well for his arm i have to say that i don't think that it can bend from that postions naturally and it is his sleeve that is blocky but i do agree that it is alittle off so i'll look into it. i agree her right arm is twisted but i am unsure how to fix it since i want her to hold the sword straight up. the one wing each thing is caused by her having wings and him not having wings, i guess that that means that it needs to look more angled and when i color them her wings will match her scales makeing it easier maybe...
and yeah i need a background, still hoping inspiration will strike, any ideas?

Haha, yeah, the whole 'how to fix?' issue is always a problem.
For the wings, I totally see it now! What is the end of her left wing looks like the base of his right wing but isn't! Yesss.
With the sword... :/ I dunno. Maybe get someone to pose it out for you? Real models GO! If I am not mistaken your boyfriend has several swords... XD
Background! I am abysmally bad at backgrounds! Mountains and trees maybe? A castle? Or perhaps something more mythical... random floating blocks of land? Arches and pathways with a black sky behind them? A cliff by the sea? THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS! And thus, impossible to find a good one...

hehe, i always wished i had possing slaves in my closet but alas...i'll get tom to help though that is a good idea
