Electra is a princess from a hidden dimension, Tonitrus. For centuries, her kingdom had resonated in the Mobius dimension, but eventually evacuated their people from Sonic's dimension, to create a "utopia" of their own, vowing to never face the darkness of the world. Negative emotions had risen among the people of the kingdom, giving the darkness form an evil spirit, Surge. The kingdom had been threatened by this evil darkness, but generations of kings and queens had created the prophecy to seal and destroy Surge for good, but every king and queen had fallen. Years after her parents' death, Electra rose to be the next heir to the throne, to fulfill her destiny of defeating and containing Surge for good.
