It seems that being a guard of the portal between the dimensions, she probably would demand some kind of "payment" and/or makes a deal before letting one go through it. And should the traveler breaks a deal, she/he'd be in a big trouble!

As you mentioned, I would think that if the devil puffs brought Boiler through, they'd arrange for his payment beforehand in this case. For the return trip, what "something" to pass back to home remains to be seen. Were Hecasa and Blister more than friends?
