If you learn to take advantage of what you have, you will only notice how important it was after it is gone…that is a common thing amid human nature. ..and something I am sure you were already aware of.
We all must inevitably face this at some point in life…some learn quicker then others do. So at least you have that knowledge now and can from here on always be reminded of the good things you have in life.

i think that fits in with what my best friend did to me, i didn't take anything for granted, i just put too much trust in a person that i would have given my life for.

Yeah...I've had that happen to me as well. But you know, if they were really your friend they wouldn’t do such a thing to you...at least that’s how I look at it. It all ties in…some people just don’t see what they have until they lose it.

i get what you were saying now, yea we were close friends since middle school, and i never expected him to do something like that. oh well.

^^ Some times people do things that don't make sense...*shrugs* I had an extremely similar circumstances with a friend from High School...we stopped talking for about a year or more...then I just gave in and sort of decided that the reason I lost her as a friend wasn’t a good enough reason… so long story short we are talking again. To be honest it wasn’t quick decision and it wasn’t an easy thing to forgive her...I am told I am too forgiving... Anyway, what I am trying to say is whatever your friend did to betray you I am sure he (or she) didn’t do it to intentionally hurt you...people do things for their own personal greed regardless of what the consequences are to others around them. We can be selfish creatures... Who knows maybe one day you will find a different understanding in the situation and forgive your friend...if not then he/she wasn’t that great of a friend to begin with and you should just accept that. I hope I am not being to forward in my rambling...but it is a touchy subject for me.

nah i completely understand, i hold horrible grudges, usually in a year, maybe even a week, i drop them. it depends on how bad i was hurt in the process. i'm sure i'll get over it sometime and talk to him again, but not anytime soon.
