Description The first vector I've really tried doing. The tree is awful, I just couldn't get it to look right

The scene is from the end of Read it and Weep (season 2 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)

Nice job! That must have taken a while... Would you mind if I used this as the background for a wallpaper I'm making?

knight33 In reply to EmbersAtDawn [2012-03-25 01:52:48 +0000 UTC]

Absolutely, you can use it for whatever you want. It's just a vector, it's not like I made the original artwork.

You might think it looks horrible, but it fits perfectly for a very nice looking background.
It really catches my eye, so it was even added to favorites!

First vector? Wow you've got skill. I can't really check the scene right now but the whole thing and the tree as well look awesome!

screw that tree! the whole everything is powerfully great. i like how it's smoothened and warm at the same time. that makes a perfect wallz for my desktop. bravo

how you do the glow?

Take the flattened image, stick a subtractive layer over the top with a grey-ish colour, merge them together, do a gaussian blur and stick it on additive blending.
