Did you know that an Augustinian monk named Gregor Mendel helped create the modern science of genetics by breeding and studying pea plants? Β
Catholic scientists FTW.

Yeah he was so important to genetix and helping the discovery of hereditary variation and all that stuff!!! Love dis guy! *Is in Biology right now* This was actually like my favorite part of bio, was learning how we are different from our parents because of the genes and using the probability boxes or something. good times, good times xD

Nice. I wonder exactly how atheists the idea that the Church is an enemy of science? People who say that are veryΒ ignorant.

Good question. A question I've yet to find an unbiased answer for. The Catholic Church, indeed, is the sole greatest propagator of free thinking.

greatΒ picture, yes,I know this, there are many good scientists who are Catholics or even priests.God created our brains aswell and He wants us to discover His creations and to understand better natural laws. The science and even biology shows us how complicated and beautiful is His creation. It's too complicated and it couldn't exist by an accident,we can see there is an inteligent Creator. It's my opinion at least.

It was also a catholic priest who proposed the big bang theory.

Indeed. Always good to find someone else who knows that the Catholic Church contributed to science aswell.
