I saw a drawing like this a while back and thought it was a really cool concept. The character was drawn as if they were a flat black-and-white manga character while they held up a monitor showing sort of an x-ray in Photoshop. So I've wanted to do something like that for a looooooooong time, and I finally got around to it! It was pretty fast since it's such a simple drawing.Once again it's a drawing of Tori. While not being the most gifted swordsman out there, she does love to doodle. Then again, she's probably not the most talented artist either...

the only thing that stood out for me was that the shading on the hair could have been pulled off better.
I absolutely love her left arm and hand though, they're very gracefully drawn. And my eyes keep getting drawn up to her eyes, back down to the iPad screen, up the left hand, tracing the left arm, back up to the face. It was a really well done pose/composition. :3

The hair can be done a lot better! But I'm not sure how. I was thinking about making the black and white shading like how I've been doing digital tones for my comic, but whenever silver/white hair is show in manga it's normally just white or maybe white with a little grey for shading. How would you do it?

basically she accented in a darker gray wherever the locks of hair overlapped each other

Hmm... true that. I wanted to keep the shading simple and single-toned for the non-colored part (I originally intended to have only black and white), but I think that could help a bit.

Woah. This is absolutely brilliant. You really grabbed my attention not by the fact of the color splash but the who piece in total. Your technique looks nice and fresh and something I would be very interested in. What I love about your work here is how interesting it got when I looked into it, the detail and the "x-ray" gimmick just looks magnificent. Great work, I would critique it for sure!
