Set just outside the MoMA, four figures in perspective (failed that again) with some sort of story to it. Dove's hint: Add a sense of danger. Some people pulled that off better than others.There are lots of things wrong with this, but they're pretty easy fixes. After all the critiquing in class and my personal talk with THE MAN DOVE, I know everything that needs to be done so don't be offended if I disregard your critiques-- I've heard everything now (and I'm also extremely critical of my drawings so I know most of the stuff wrong with this before the critique).
Featuring Tori and Raina! Yay! No one commented on their designs in class... Q.Q
2B pencil on 11 x 17 Bristol with a live area of 10 x 15. I edited out the bleed stuff for this submission.

The only thing I don't like is the dark dark shadings that you have

The dark shadings weren't supposed to be solid or clean or anything, it's just like... "BLACK PLACEMENT HERE." It lightens to show that I would gradate it with tone or something-- the pencil work is in no way like an illustration (look up comic book finished pencils to see what I mean).
Those are trees "on top" of the car,they don't look like trees though because I was trying to make them graphical rather than render them like trees... when I fix this I'm going to just take out the trees in this picture 'cause it doesn't really work to show this is a city anyway.
It's not Miku but I'll let you think that.
And... Tori's sword looks like a feather... because... it IS a feather!

Aaaaand... I posted the story of Tori's sword somewhere on a deviation. Long story short, it's a feather fallen to Gaea from the goddess that the world was named after. Tori's grandfather had wielded it before her, and she keeps and uses it now as a memento.
