Jade is strong, physically and mentally, and the focus of everyone's praise and hatred. Aris? Well. She's just the short friend at Jade's side.I'm working on hammering out more of Aris' character, in which I've found that as much as she loves Jade, she also feels overshadowed by her. In some way, Aris hates Jade.
Also, this was me messing around with style. Lawl. Look at those messy lines!

The backwards glance from Jade, looks almost like her stare alone could snap Aris into line, even if it were unknowing. And Aris looking so downcast, so resigned to her fate of staying forever in her friend's shadow.

Thanks Legend :3 I was really happy how the expressions came out, though I made Aris' shading tons darker than Jade's. Not intentional, and I can't decide if I like it. X'D does it work cuz she's as dark as a shadow? Lawl, dunno.
But cha, thanks! I was happy with how this turned out. Lots of fun too, since I merged my traditional and digital style a bit.
