HOO BOY I worked so super hard on this. I am so tired and I gotta go to work soon but all these hours of work have really paid off. I'm so proud. Look at that background.So many gorgeous entries have come into the contest so I don't have high hopes, but at least this is a good piece for the portfolio.

I was toying with the idea of making an entry based on Minish environments from the game, but I just couldn't get it to look how I wanted.
Also, with such an adorable style I'd be happy to let you draw her anytime. I always love to see how other people would interpret my characters. Best of luck to you in the contest. ^-^

I often have a rough time trying to perfect a new environment, like this one didn't quite showcase a village like I intended, but sometimes you just have to roll with it anyways c:

I personally get really, really picky with things like perspective and scale. Which usually leaves me so stuck I no longer have time. (if I ever feel motivated to finish it, I'll probably just post it in the art folder anyway to show I did it.) Aside from having others draw my characters, I also enjoy drawing a character for someone and seeing their reaction to the end result. That's always a delight, too. ^-^

I feel you on that. I find myself backing out of a lot of art because of reasons like that, which is why completing this was such a feat for me. And yeah drawing other people's characters has been super nice, I know if I was them I'd be super grateful c:

My art teacher in 7th grade was also of the opinion that no matter how pretty your colour work is, no matter how well you paint or texture, if you are halfhearted with depth and perspective your art is not going to be as good as you could make it. In short, sure of your abilities or not, always give it the best of your effort. ^-^
It's also a great stress relief for me. Robyn has a lot of little things to her design, so sometimes it's nice to draw something more simple. :3
