Nostalgia it is! I remember these things in the LEGO Star Wars games, I hated how they always taunted you with these mini-kits. You see them in story mode, you want them so badly but you can't, only in Free Play mode. That sucked 
Same thing in other LEGO games such as Indiana Jones, Batman, etc.

ha ah I remember these! I hated them so much! If me and my cousin couldnt get one that we could see in the corner of the screen we were so mad ,but we felt so accomplished when we finally did get one XDĀ

Yes, some were a real pain to get even if you had the minikit detector to help you find them.

ikr? it was freaking insane! though, I was very happy with the minikit detector ,since it helped me with so many of them! Sometimes, you could only see them at the corner of your eye huh? and then it was very irritating to get the camera at the right angle to make sure and just analyze everything to see how to get it. I still havent gotten 100% of all teh minikits in any of the lego games XD

Your right, but when I read 'Mini-Kit' I think of parts to make a complete kit rather than the one little object. Still by what ever name you call them, it was fun and frustrating to find all of them.

cool, ive made a real lego canaster, but al the white parts are grey, but the studs are the ight colors!

That describes my lego canister as well. My white legos are old and have been well used to they are scratched and gray. In some way it made the canister look cooler.

Its ok to brag a little. I found them as well, even wrote a walk-through for the game to help others find all of the part canisters and all of the red bricks.

That sucked having to commit suicide to get the canister. I tried to use R2 to get the canister but the jets would not burn long enough for me to get back.
