Description
Meet Lox. An evil, massive badass of a lion. At least thats the description gave me for this big guy. In another installment of his characters he commissioned me to draw.He has some elements of Kane from WWE. Left out all the cross-hatching it originally had. Just couldnt add it digitally well enough
It was lookin all Dale Keown/Jim Lee-ish to.
He's alil darker than he should be to emphasize the evil.

OoOooo his musculature turned out much better in the end, I really like it.
You did a fantastic job on it, he looks so proud and dignified. I really like his positioning, its simple but he just has the "feel " of a lion king.
The tights arnt actually as terrible as one would think. "A giant muscley lion in red tights" isnt the best image ever, but you pulled it off beautifully.
Nice job with the placement of shadows too.
His bandages look real nice too.
As for crit I'm guessing you probably already know.
You need to learn how to blend further out, like taking the shadow further, instead of simply blending right beside the solid. Bringing it right out. Also work on your blending too, try to get it smoother, less chalky/grainy looking. Gotta get away from that "marker look" and try to get it smoother.
Also, get out of the dark boyee, learn solid lighting. Try out a picture sometime with strong strong lighting. Something that takes up large portions of the face, without being overpowering.
Think about some of those vector drawings where they simplify the shading of the picture.
I'll show you sometime.

i like bein in the dark.
I definitely gotta get better with the tablet. Seems all i can do is kinda marker like. I just dont have that kind of control. Yet!
