Description
Just faced this guy and when this shot came, I just had to take the picture. Low-quality, but it just reminded me of a line from a gentle giant. May you have found your peace, Sir Gough, Fourth Knight of Gwyn.As usual:
Dark Souls is owned by FromSoftware. This is just purely fan-work.

I don't think I will. After that, I won't play on.
But thanks for the suggestion.

Great shot of the wyvern you got there ^-^
May you rest in peace Gough, your words shall always be remembered
But to be honest, the dragon fights in ds3 so far were a real dissapointment. The ancient wyvern is in 1 hit ko and the storm king also does not act that much. Most of it is the nameless king. But the ones (at least I assume they are dragons from the looks of it) in the 'ringed city' dlc are looking promising

Aye. I tried to kill it like a real warrior.
I was stepped on more than a goomba of Super Mario. After the third try, I just parkour through the danger noodle men and killed him like a goomba with the broken sword, just to insult this damn oversized lizard.

... dragonslaying has never been so unsatisfying since Dark Souls 2 base dragon fights.

Well, it certainly felt awesome the first time fighting said wyvern. And now that I mention it, that thing is no dragon. It's just a Wyvern, bipedal. Dragons have bloody four legs.....

Wyvern's are dragons though... in fact, Wyverns are technically the largest species of Dragon.
And honestly I hate this fight. It was so underwhelming. At first I was all like "YEAH, I'm gonna fight a dragon! Let's see if you're as good as Kalameet.
At the end of it, my reaction was "That's it? Fight some bullshit snake men and then a one hit KO?"
I think it would have been better to have fought through those enemies, do the jump attack, and that would have lowered its defense well enough that you could then fight it the normal way.

KnightyNightey In reply to Rexlare [2017-02-16 22:03:31 +0000 UTC]
Well, we'll never have the same fight as Kalameet again. Seriously, that thing was the true definition of a dragon. Imagine a whole herd of Kalameet....

That would be Dark Souls 2's formula to making a boss fight difficult and you know it.
Honestly, I'm hoping the next DLC will solve this issue. Give us an undead dragon of Londor, and make it a good one.

Even though I believe the Abyss Dragon was referring to kalameet, there's a chance.

BA DUM TSS
Though that would be cool. I remember a few months ago I had a conversation with someone on youtube on how cool it would be to have a Drangleic DLC, and how it would start with you walking down this destroyed mountain path until you were before a great, cinematic shot at this great old, ruined castle. But as you continue down, you see this massive eagle flying in the distance. Probably nothing right?
You continue down the path. So far, you've faced nothing but measly hollows with steel armor and Flamberge Zweihander's. But suddenly, there's this loud clang behind you! As if something impaled the earth. You turn around, and see this massive sword penetrated into the earth, a unique symbol brandished on its blades. Suddenly, from above, the eagle sores again, but drops something by the sword, a hulking figure wearing a shredded black cloak. Slowly, the figure rises, until it looks to you, with a burning red eye, smoke bellowing out of its armor, and a massive greatshield in its other hand. Now, the figure slowly grips the sword, tearing it from the earth as its feet float off the ground. With another slow motion, it grips its cloak with its left, hand, ripping the already weakened fabric off, revealing hulking steel armor that shines eerily in the moonlight. The warrior's breast plate engraved with the tormented faces of past victims.
The Hunter of Hollows... continues his hunt.

hehehehe
I love the Crow Quills.
Honestly, the only thing I ask out of the DLC for Fashion Souls is some goddamn proper Samurai Armor. Imagine a Dark Wraith Samurai or something like that.
However, while I know that's not likely, I really REALLY want us to get some armor worthy of a Lord of Londor. Hopefully something that's very reminiscent of Maltheal from Diablo 3

Along with the Wolf Curved Great Sword and the Right eye of Pontiff, they make the most vicious thing ever. Plus, combining them with the fallen knight set. Fashion souls at its finest, even with the pee pee pants.

Ugh, too many people like the Fallen Knight set. For me, that cloak is just too bland to look at from behind. I get it's supposed to be a once proud knight now in hiding under ragged robes, but it just looks too unkempt, especially in a world where so many armor sets are very neat.
MAYBE if the cloak was just black leather with a few tears, and it acted more like a trench coat rather than a cloak TRYING to be a coat, it would change my mind.

KnightyNightey In reply to Rexlare [2017-02-19 19:31:12 +0000 UTC]
Well, I'm one of them. It just proves this sentence.
"A knight in shinning armor is a man who never had his metal truly tested."
It tells me that this knight, who owned the set, was tested, but he fled and died in a swamp, soiling himself in fear. As the new owner, I will get my metal tested many times.
Die many times.
But press forward.

It certainly is good for post-apocalyptic cosplay's I'll say that much.
To me though, I really like wearing neat, ordained and flashy equipment fit for an Inquisitor.
MY Fashion Souls is
Havel's Helm
Fire Witch Armor
Dark Gauntlets
Fire Witch Skirt
Armor fit for an Inquisitor.

Didn't you get the sword within his chamber? Except if you are fighting him without storm ruler, he is a cakewalk.

SquareofOne In reply to KnightyNightey [2017-02-18 00:52:36 +0000 UTC]
I got that one and Siegward's. I should also mention I still don't have the timing down on when Ruler is fully charged for that air wave move and not much FP to start with, just a little over 100. I suppose I've also been attempting him on days where I feel off and slower as I can dodge most moves easily but if I panic or screw up the timing, my heavy roll still gets me hit on whatever follow-up move he's doing.

For the fun, I attempted the fight with just a broken sword.
Bloody hell, I died more times to him than the Bed of Chaos, but mainly because I miscalculated his attack.
But felling a giant with nothing but a broken blade felt awesome

The size of a homeward bone?
Or.
The size of Rave-Lord Nito's blade, coming up from the ground.
