With names handily supplied by my little sister lolHalon is "shadow's girlfriend" because, in her words, "they have the same shoes, basically. they were MADE for each other. goodbye mom and dad! I'm gonna go marry shadow. buh-bye, and don't come back"
Names are incredibly accurate but by no means final lol
Ok on to the less interesting stuff: so I had an idea where Blaze's empire spans 7 kingdoms, one for each emerald, corresponding with a particular sea. (we'll conquer the seven seas HORN NOISES)
You have the Scarlet Sea, Golden Sea, Great Sea (blue), Southern Sea (cyan, Marine lives here), Emerald Sea, Twilight Sea (magenta emerald, Blaze's),Β and then the Sea of Worms (gray emerald, nobody lives here because I said so), and each one has a kingdom
I'm not sure if there should be a gray kingdom properly (like with people in it), since the gray emerald is neutral. With all the other emeralds, if you invert them they swap colors, but the gray emerald stays the same. This makes it the logical choice for the emperor, ruling over all the other kingdoms, however SINCE BLAZE IS PURPLE AND NOT GRAY, I was thinking I should leave it out so Blaze's kingdom can be the emperor kingdom without making people go "WELL THAT'S JUST NONSENSE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER" and so on, if that makes sense
Or maybe the emperor should be gray-themed no matter the country he hails from or something... eh whatever
So like... in the green sea, the water is green and the sky is green as well. This is why at the end of sonic rush and in sky babylon the sky is green but everywhere else is blue; sky babylon is in the green sea, BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
And the royal fam is color-coded and cats because they are ever-so-slightly sensitive to the emeralds' influence due to their common ancestors, so wherever they're born they take on the cast of that place.
And of course the kingdoms are color-coded as well because of HUBRIS
So Blaze is obviously repping the purple kingdom etc
Even though I put "Fancy" on the left and there's a pattern of the girl being on the left, Fancy is the king and Nancy is the queen
the idea is that the southern sea rakes in the most dosh overall, so in the cyan kingdom's capital, shit's gone full hunger games, fashion-wise, so the king is some frilly idiot Louis XIV-lookin fool with a wife who's perfectly his equal and therefore also a dumbass, they have a bunch of stupid pet names for each other and embarrass the whole world
Southern Island is like waaaaaay over in the corner of the Southern Sea, next to the green sea which is the most podunk and economically worthless sea after the sea of worms, so Marine's corner of the world sees none of this flamboyance, but all of the moneygrubbing pirates
Well that's the idea, anyway, tell me what you think, which parts suck, etc.

Pretty interesting concept. In my head cannon however, I associate the (Chaos) emeralds more so with emotion. Silver emerald being fury, Red as rage, etc. Looking at this, each Kingdom looks like it represents the stages of the game. Especially the green ones in the middle (Plant Kingdom). I'm not sure how I should take the cyan blue ones, too fanciful for me.Β
The last group, I see they're more Egyptian styled based off of their clothing. I like that, however your other groups don't display any similarities such as their origins being based from successful empires. (I.E. Red over there could be based off the Ottomans...I don't know.) Green is my favorite from the group. Another thing about Red over there, I wonder if you could alter their appearance to look more like a lioness? Reason I ask is because in Chinese folklore, fire is spiritually cleansing and usually associated with the top dog, the sleep 18 hours a day; Lions.Β
Halon should be a darker shade of yellow, or her mother should be lighter than her, unless Halon gets her specific pigment from her aunt/grandmother?Β
Surprised purple is not more African tribal based.

Well aesthetic-wise... most of them are basically random combinations. So like... Red is some kind of fusion between a Medieval European and an Indian princess, Cyan has some frou frou french nobility mixed with japanese kimono/padme amidala etc, Blue is like half egyptian and half sea captain, Green is kind of pseudo mayincaztec + japanese, Yellow is just kind of angular and fancy militaristic stuff with the dad having hair like a pharaoh/Solaris phase 1
I didn't really reference anything hence them not looking like anything in particular, which is pretty much what I wanted... I don't want them to literally BE the french or whatever. The cyans are supposed to be a bit silly so that's okay.
They are all cats because... they're kind of distantly related or something like that, like there was one family to begin with that gradually splintered over time, eventually forming seven families. I thought about tigers and lions but I decided that would be a bad idea... First of all there's no precedent for the Big Cats in the games, which doesn't matter that much but whenever they finally have a tigerΒ that would elevate one group higher than the others in a fashion, and Blaze is canonically the Imperial Princess, so it'd be a little weird if there were dinky little housecats ruling over all these lions and tigers and koala bears oh my, or maybe it wouldn't, idk.
That's why I didn't do it in any case, but I was thinking of making Garbage Green a tiger in particular.
None of these ruler people get to own any emeralds either, despite living in emerald-themed kingdoms; Blaze has the emeralds so she can use them and protect them. That's probably why the ruler people look more like the stages than the emeralds themselves - they represent their kingdoms more.
As for Halon... I was thinking she'd inherited her dad's coloration but expresses a pastel version of it since she's female or something like that.
Purple is Blaze's kingdom lol... In my opinion she doesn't look a thing like an African princess, more like Napoleon crossed with a ballet dancer.
Also, pirates are criminals... and I didn't think there'd be a sovereign pirate nation, that kinda goes against what pirates are.

Well the only pirates we know of are the robotic pirates that Eggy and Nega Eggy made. There's no certainty that there aren't any
Cross Dimension-Mobian pirates on Blaze's world is there? And they could be good pirates. Remember the Twilight Cage Nocturnus? That dude was a renegade. Pirates would be in colonies and would be a constant bother to all the kingdoms because of their Robin Hood-esque personalities (would tie in with why Johnny and Whisker hated Blaze so much, I.E. The animal pirates looked up to those ones since they think they were opposing authority).
Yeah I guess Halon is like that because females are known to have paler skin in general.
It slipped my mind that Blaze would be the purple Kingdom. I thought she would be like....the Master Kingdom. Kind of like how Knuckles has the Master Emerald. Since Blaze's world doesn't seem to have a Master Sol Emerald (yet?). Since Blaze is in charge of the Emeralds and not to mention, the Jeweled Scepter, I presume there would be some biased hatred/Jealously from the other 3-5 Monarchies (Green seems too chill for envy, Red seems to only care for spiritual attachment).
Oh come on now, don't give me that "Sega hasn't made this cannon' crud. That shouldn't be a factor in hindering your artistic license.Β

And yes there is definitely some hatred of Blaze having all this power in her lap, especially when she keeps losing it
The purple kingdom is currently serving as the "master kingdom," being both its own kingdom and also the ruling seat of the empire, if that makes sense. I was thinking maybe it would be like this: there used to just be one kingdom, the gray kingdom, but then it was destroyed in a flood or something like that, and the purple kingdom was the first one to establish itself so it had dibs on all the magic artifacts as well as the Guardian line, and jealously clings to them to maintain its grip on the power. The other kingdoms split off from Purple and colonized the other seas but are pretty much at Purple's mercy when it comes to needing protection from magical stupidity and pirates and whatever

I'll think about it, there's really no reason not to have some tigers or whatever, plus then there's even more reason for ~political crap~ to happen since tigers probably feel superior to tabby cats or something like that
Well Honey is from the Chaos Dimension it seems, but if she were from this particular Sol dimension setup, she'd probably be from the Yellow kingdom... She probably has black hair thanks to dye or a wig. She's a fashion designer so it makes sense that she'd wear wigs for the ease of changing her look. It looks a little too humanlike to be natural.
If you mean the caracal honey I drew, she'd probably be from wherever the red and yellow seas mix. Maybe being born in a place like that gives you a random chance of being red, orange, pink, yellow, etc., hence Mirror Honey simultaneously being pink. Or whatever I dunno

Dur hur Or, if anything, the grey can be an old kingdom that has long been destroyed. I don't know, just spit-balling here.
I was wondering, will each kingdom specialize in a trade of some sort? Like, let's say the Golds specialize in weapons (or democracy, because George Washington), the Cyans specialize in the textile industry, the Greens in medicine, etc. etc.? And they all trade between each other, creating peace and harmony and blah blah blah?

Design wise, I love how they each have their own color scheme (and yet they all have some type of yellow/gold in there somewhere, which I love for whatever reason). My favorites have to be Fancy and Nancy. They're so eccentric, and you can already tell so much about them from their personalities!

Yes, there's definitely some rivalries I would think...
First of all the purple kingdom has way too much magical stuff. It's reasonable to keep all the magic in one place, in the hands of one person. But that person just so happens to be from the Purple house, giving purple an advantage over the others.
The problem only arises when the guardian abuses their power... which... definitely happens all the time through history, leading to grudges
Clothing-wise they are indeed inspired by various real-life stuff, combined in mostly meaningless and random ways, but I'm not sure about the actual societies yet since they aren't THAT pertinent
I'm thinking Green is probably the least prosperous nation of them, hence the minimal jewelery and more casual outfits whatever I dunno

So these are just high-ranking cat nobility, I would think there's plenty of koalas walking around, being unremarkable background characters and governing unremarkable koala islands
