Inspired by this art by Axel-Rosered Maylene's Exercise Routine

On Kris' journey through Sinnoh, Kris ran into some weird noodle guy who tried to feed her but avoided him because he was weird. Kris arrives at the Veilstone gym to see that Mayley was so stuffed that she couldn't battle the young Johto trainer so instead, she just gives her the badge and asked her to let Chunk and Crasher know that she'll be needing them for training for the next six months. Kris just glad because she didn't have to face that Lucario of hers. But I guess it's that or being the victim of yet another gym leader.
