I feature on Planet Mobius where the rabbits are just as human as the actual humans that rabbit season would have to take on a new meaning since it would make no sense to hunt rabbits that think and move like humans so instead, the people of Mobius decided to claim Rabbit Season as a national holiday for the rabbits. Thank of it like Thanksgiving, but in spring.

The rabbits take food and stuff from the local farmer's garden and proceed to eat it for breakfast and lunch and whatever is left over is used for their annual rabbit day feast. Cream and Belle decided to store enough in them that would last them until Vanilla cook their annual rabbit season feast.

Fun Fact: In the Super Genesis Wave story in the Archie Comics, Bunnie Rabbot and Cream the Rabbit are cousin so I figure why not have continue the family line. Now, for why Belle is with a younger Cream instead of an older one.... eh, let's go with time travel.
