Description
This is the first kinda professional artwork I've done. (with professional I mean that I've done this for a band as an artwork and not that I am satisfied with it though...)I came up with this idea, because of the following scenario:
Imagine you're an atheist and you know that you're going to die...
I've seen so many people like this and they all tried to grab for the cross (literally speaking of course...) in their very last moments, in their desparingly hope that it'd help them... (In fact of course it didn't), but I found it very interesting to see, what people even do in there very last moments, you know (like they needed to get a very last hope their life could still continue in some way...) .... So I decided to create this work, which I think totally reflect this situation... (In my opinion this is very dramatic, as I'd never want to become such a person(give up all opinions about everything, just I know I am going to be dead...) )
A very interesting topic.
Feel free to share any opinions on my work.
Hopefully you like my idea, concept and the result. Any critiques are as always very welcome, and appreciated.

To begin with, your use of charcoal is incredible. The rough and sketchy lines really bring out the subject matter. The message to me appears is about the decay of hope caused by desperation. However, I can see a flip side to that interpretation, that the figure in the foreground would do anything to get to the background figure, which looks semi-feminine. Over all this is an excellent piece, with all of the various shades and tones reinforces the meaning behind the work. As a suggestion, in the sky, the clouds may need a little more shading in the middle of them. However, good job. XD

I'm keeping this in my favorites as a reminder of how I do *NOT* want to die, For now...
I'm wondering if that's a good thing to do...

I've been browsing similar drawings and pictures lately. Nice work. I feel like sharing this lyric from a Flipron song.
The End Of Summer finds us giving nothing.
The End Of Summer finds us out so soon.
The End Of Summer finds our hearts were bluffing
And pins us down with longing beneath the harvest moon.
Around the fields the hedges darken with displays of bitter fruit
The End of Summer
Of Summer
Summer packs her glum days in her suitcase and drives away into distances and dreams
Yat-da, Yat da da da da da. Knuckle down.
Yat- da dat da da.
And we have spent all our green money on a pair of golden shoes and we shall walk with wounded armies singing painful autumn blues. Could you abandon all you've grown to love like there's nothing left to lose?
The End of Summer
Of Summer
Summer
What can we do, What can we say except give it all away? Give it all away. Give it all away. Give it all away.

And that's a song of one who's living like a Zombie and chooses to. Those golden shoes were so comfortable and yet they've burned so many feet.
And literally, There isn't a car in the world that won't rust.

Great idea - I agree with everything you said - everyone will die one day...I love the rough way the picture is made - it perfectly depicts the idea...
