Description
First of all, a very big thank you to *ZurdoM, for allowing me to colour his original sketch [link]I'm not sure how long this piece took, but you can round it off to about 20 hours or so.
Almost finishing piece, I found how many people have done colour grades on this image before and...well, I hope that you guys like what I've done.

Excellent job on the stone work! And I really like the mist effect where the rain is hitting.
Did you only use straight and circular gradients for the shading? Looks interesting.

indeed I did...I've only really been trying my hand at digital painting for about 2, 2 1/2 months, so still very new to it.
At the moment, most of the shading and tones are done by gradients, with slight variations for more detail until I can paint everything straight.
haha, I have to ask...interesting how?

It has led to some of the muscle groups looking very regular (cylinder/sphere) which, to me, doesn't look quite right... not bad, just different... interesting
Discalimer: I'm not an artist or an expert, just my opinion
