Another doodle I did close to a month ago, based on a game called Dwarf Fortress.It's an ASCII game that has a fortress-building "sim" kinda mode, along with a roguelike adventurer mode. Pretty fantastic, even though it has a steep learning curve as you learn to decipher screens that look like this: [link]
In Adventure mode, you can slay vicious wildlife and monsters with your chosen weapon... even if that weapon is a wolf corpse. I've one-shot-killed critters with thrown worms before. It's rad. X)

I got 1 shot one killed by a badger. With no legs.... and no tail... and severe organ damage.

And there are few things more fun (or Fun) than throwing rocks at a group of pissed-off skeletons, killing one, and then throwing the bones and skull at the other undead.

Yeah, it takes a while. The symbols are well-chosen for the things they represent, but it's hard to translate quickly at first.

DF wolves don't have much of my sympathy. They're great at having lucky crit rolls and depriving my (otherwise untouchable) adventurer of his throat. X)
