All right, more experimentation, this time on subtle differences between the four turtles' faces.The front view line also shows their relative heights. The actual numbers I like to work by are
Don - 5'6"
Leo - 5'4"
Raph - 5'3"
Mike - 5'2"
I have way too much fun sitting and figuring all this stuff out. 8|

I really adore how you make them more turtley and such, it's interesting and more realistic! And you're just such a fantastic artist- what program do you use, if you don't mind me asking? It sort of looks like Sketchbook?

Well, you've certainly succeeded! 
Donatello is the one that's funny, Leonardo is the 'leader.' Raph is the one who's angsty... and Michelangelo is the one who's into tech. Am I right, or did I get Donatello and Michelangelo mixed up? 
Yeah it's obvious I haven't watched much TMNT... I want to though!

Might be just the expressions, but Don and Mike look more human of the four. But from this picture alone Don looks to be the most human, a reasoning for his intelligence?

True - it could be the expressions, but Don and Mike's brow ridges aren't as pronounced and their jaws are slimmer... it does produce a more human look. But that's an interesting idea... could very well be.

Wow, such detail is a rarity. It's nice to see you taking the time to really delve into this style and create your own stats. Especially when my fav Donnie gets to be the tallest.
I like the little notes between the side view and the head on view. The circles under Leo's eyes were a nice touch. A little inside look at how his role as leader might be wearing on both his mind and body.
I'm not sure if you did this on purpose, but I like how they are lined up not only by height but also by skin tone. Don's the most olive colored, while Mikey is a more blue/green.

Heh, I noticed that afterward... the color shifts from yellow-green --> blue-green. It made me smile, because I just used the skintones from the new show (as I like those very much).
And yes, that's exactly it for Leo. It not only ages his appearance, but is a little outward indication of the stress he bears.

Poor Leo. Being the leader is stressful all right. Not only does he get crud from his brothers for being "Fearless Leader" and "Splinter Jr." but also from fangirls who think he needs to lighten up.
But he is who he is and that's why we love him. *huggles Leo*

Ah, yes. Sometimes I have to check out books or watch movies to find something to get excited about drawing. A few weeks ago, for example, I picked up a book on deer. I love deer... and it made me want to draw. Sometimes you just have to wait for that spark to come back.

Interesting that Don is the tallest...nobody ever makes him that large, sadly. It's usually Raphers. *pokes him and runs*

I like the idea of a shorter Raph... like this little ball of compressed energy that can explode at you any second. Don's the tallest, but the least threatening. Plus making him a tall geek amuses me. X) And Mikey's the smallest, so he can be amazingly fast and agile, slipping through places the other Turtles won't be able to manage because they're too tall or too built.

No problem. Of course, this is completely unofficial and just the way I like to do things. Like the heights... I don't think anyone makes Donatello the tallest, but I like it that way. So you could use these as a guide, or come up with something that you like even more.
