Description
Raph looks a little moody, doesn't he? I doodled this last night, with little to no plans of what I wanted the final result to be. It just started with Leo and I kept adding Turtles. The style is a cross of Mirage and the current cartoon. And... I think I like it. Maybe I'll color it later.Related content

They look quite ready for action! Great work, and poses, as usual.

Thanks! I need to try some more action-packed poses, though. Maybe later.

Mike's chin looks a little square, ( then again, he's a blockhead, so it probably comes natural!
) Raph looks ticked off, ready to jump into action whenever it showes it's ugly face~ Don looks relaxed, enjoying the cool night breeze~ while Leo is content, with no trouble around the corner, much to Raph's annoyance~! good job, this looks really nice!

It is a bit square, but that was the Mirage style coming through. Actually... somewhat Jim Lawson-ish, maybe. Back when he could still draw. But anyhoo...
Yeah, I love highlighting the characters' personalities by their postures. I should probably try a picture where they all wear red and have no weapons, and see if I can still make who's who clear without being too obvious.

Um...random story, I saw the title of this, and totally thought you it was going to be a Fiddler on the Roof parody. I am quite zoned right now, hence my extreme-randomness.
Now back to the picture, this is cool! I love yer sketchies, mate! And I like the blowy in the windness of their bandanas. Sweet.

*rereads title* HAH! Yeah, it probably shoulda been...
Dude. I should make a picture of a Turtle fiddling on a NYC roof. Just because you said that.
Aaaaand it's totally 2:30 am right now. Random random random *falls off a cliff*

I like that you included their tails, that's one of the first things I noticed. That probably sounds bad or weird but most people don't which drives me nuts. I love hot thoughtful Don looks. Leo's my favorite but in this pic I think I like Don the best.

Leo's my fave too, awesome!

I don't put in tails in when it doesn't match the style (like when I'm trying to draw true to either cartoon style) but I do like to put in tails. Not sure I like the knobbly Mirage tails because turtle tails don't actually look like that. But my turtle-ish style does come with tails included.
It's hard sometimes... if you don't get the placement right, sick-minded folks will assume they're something else. People. *sigh* They're probably the reason a lot of artists don't include tails.

Yeah. When I bought some of the figures... I forget which ones but I remember they flip, anyway they have tails and I was so excited. I guess I'd momentarily forgot how dirty minded my friends are because when I posted pictures everyone commented with something dirty. Normally I can be dirty minded with the best of them but that actually made me kind of sad.
Aw well, such is life.

I like this; the bold linework for the turtles plus the softer line work for the building go well hand in hand And I like how their bandanna's are flowing in the breeze ;D

Okay, I felt urge to comment on this because you commented on most of my stuff but I havn't done so for yours. That's really rather rude of me and for that I apologize.
First off when I saw this I immediately thought of the old school turtles drawn by Peter Laird which I think is so cool. I love how you incorporated that with your own style.
You've set the turtles up very nicely with their appropriate poses which is something I have yet to do. If anyone looks at my gallery you will see that there are no pictures where all four turtles are together. That will seriously have to change.
I believe I mentioned a very long while back about you and animation. Your artwork just screams it and if you were to take on a Ninja turtle animated fanfilm I'd be there to support it and be the first one to see it.
As for Raph, yeah, he does look miserable but that's who he is. Him having such a personality is very appealing because when he does something kind and out of the blue it ends up being more memorable. What I'm tring to say is that he might be a hard ass but deep down inside beats a soft heart. That's what makes him so neat. Hell, they're all neat and it just wouldn't be the same without either one of them.
So, I bow down and kiss your feet for creating such a neat little piece. Great job!!

Oh, it's no problem. Comments are nice, but I don't expect them from everyone.
I do love to let the personalities of each Turtle shine through in their poses. This composition isn't the best, but since I was making it up as I went, I'm not too bothered. I would like to see what you'd do with all four guys in one piece, though.
I have trouble identifying with Raph's personality (more of a Leo/Mikey, I think) but I always get warm fuzzies when he lets a tear slip or shows his inner teddy bear for a brief instant. It's similar to the excitement of Mikey giving his full focus to something and excelling as a result. Raph has high barriers and Mike has... I dunno, ADD or something. It's when they conquer those when you get really great moments.
Thanks for the compliments; it's especially nice to get them from a talented artist such as yourself. Ninja Turtle test animations are always fun to play with - not sure if I'd have enough time in the near future to pull anything big together... but I'd let you know if I ever did.
