Description I was doodling in the 3D lab while waiting for a batch render... ended up doing this little guy, and I'm seriously considering using him in my final assignment for character design. I've avoided cats all semester and I want to do one! Just gotta play with the design and push it around so it's not standard Kobb-fare.

Wow, that is very striking indeed! The body screams cheetah while still being very stylised, the only thing that seems a bit odd to me is the neck, seems a wee bit too long. But that could just be me.

I say go for it for your final, it looks absolutley kick arse.

That is pretty darn cool. The style is simplified, yet you know its cheetah. Maybe even a slender, even more fast cheetah. Cool stuff! *pets the cheetah*

Wow, love the design! It's different, but the smooth motion that it creates is wonderful, and really sweeps the eye about. Thumbs up!

Ooooo...this is nice. I really like the shapes. And its so sleek and slender like a cheetah really is.

Im really wanting to do things I want to do too. Last time I took the class I didn't, so I hated my final. I want this final to actually be NICE. Im either gonna use my tiger or do griffins. 8)

That was my favorite part, I think... he's stylized in a way that supports what he is. Funny how the stuff I labor over sucks while this five-minute sketch 'n' color somehow has potential.

Haha, go for it! It's time for FUN to be added to the learnin' now!

I think I wanna do griffins. They haven't been represented at all this semester hahah!
Yeah seriously. Things I work and work on always turn out...overworked lol. Just gotta let it floooow

Good design, runs smoothly throughout the body. You ought use it

Kobb In reply to sketchinthoughts [2007-12-08 04:52:31 +0000 UTC]

I very well may! I'll just have to come up with a way for a human design to work in this same style and I'll be on my way.

Dang...its plain...smooooooooth. Really cool. I think you would definitely get some nods to this, feline or not. Really loose and, to overuse a word, dynamic. With a slight, very subtle "aww" effect.

Kobb In reply to Traxer [2007-12-08 04:51:26 +0000 UTC]

I think it's the eye. That was one of the parts of him I did in a different way from my norm... and durnit, they're cute.

AngelGarou [2007-12-07 09:27:12 +0000 UTC]

I think it looks good, so why not use it?
But I'd modify the head just a little bit... it looks a bit like a weasel with that face But otherwise it's pretty

Kobb In reply to AngelGarou [2007-12-08 04:49:57 +0000 UTC]

You're right, but since my usual character design problem is being too literal and realistic... I'm kinda pleased that he's not thoroughly catlike, especially given it's a cheetah. His head will need some retooling anyway though, because a comic character needs a place on his face for a smile.
