You are great with pen, ya know that?! I find ballpoint pen is the hardest medium to use and you sure can pull it off. Your sketches have so much drama to them. This one in particular...looks like he's suiting up for something major.

Really? Ballpoint pen is actually the easiest "permanent" medium, in my opinion. You can get the same lightness as a pencil (of course it doesn't erase -- that's why you draw lightly at first then gradually strengthen the lines and forms you want) AND it doesn't rub off once it dries. You can make it light, or extremely dark -- so that when your drawing is finished, it looks more "finished." You can paint over it with watercolor without worrying about bleeding.

I guess I'm just not very confident with pen. I like to work with color pencils. They don't erase as easily as regular pencil but they have a softer touch than pen. Whatever works

dang, i love the sketchiness of the art you've posted here. and how serious...er i don't know if that's the right word...you make all of it. i mean, you don't just like post the turtles getting hurt just so you can get all these comments saying how they'll make it all better, uh, ya know?
