"This- isn't you, Cat Noire!" Ladybug had been ambushed by her partner, and after a rough fight he had the upper hand- with only a few moments of their transformations left to spare. She could see the hesitation in his face as he struggled against the lulling, convincing voice in his head, one canine sinking into his lower lip.

Take her Miraculous!

But the bell on his collar shimmered, and she knew where his akuma was. "Cat Noire... I'm sorry," Her voice hiccuped as tears streamed down her mask. His arm shook as he reached for her earrings, and she grabbed his wrist. "Never thought I'd have to de-evilize my own partner," A tink next to her ear confirmed that he'd touched her earring. With her other hand she grabbed his shining red bell and crushed it between her fingers, the brittle Akuma falling to pieces as their transformations faded away. In a hurry she grabbed on to his collar and buried her face in to it. "Cat Noire!"

"Mh.. I always liked when you called out to me, my lady," he responded in kind to her holding to him. "And don't worry, my eyes are shut."

"I didn't get a chance to de-evilize the akuma, it's going to come back-" she was struggling against him, but he held her still.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it," he was quiet a moment, and she wondered if he had fallen asleep. "You're meow-nificent you know."

"YOU'RE FINE." She pushed him up and off of her as she spun away, sitting cross legged with her back to him, chin resting on her hand. "As soon as Tikki's better, we're chasing down that akuma and de-evilizing it. If you don't help, I'll have to take you down a second time."

"You can take me anywhere you like, m'lady," she could feel the cheesy grin on his face, but the exhaustion in his voice was still apparent.

"You go home. We can deal with this tomorrow," reaching up, she wiped her face of the remaining tears. What had made her cry in the first place? The idea of losing him to Hawkmoth? In any case, she was just as tired as he was. "Goodnight, Cat Noire." Standing up, she brushed herself off and wiped her face again, noticing a new warmth of tears.

Arms wrapped around her from behind as Cat Noire embraced her, mouth close to her ear. "Goodnight, my Ladybug." Thunder echoed in the distance. She knew his eyes were still closed. She trusted him. Before she could say anything more, he had gone, leaving her in the dark of the night to the sound of not thundering clouds, but the thunder of her own heartbeat pounding in her ears.

I had an urge to draw these two after binge watching the first season. Am cry. Fanfic excerpt is my own blurb. Don't even really know where I was going with it- when I was drawing, I kept getting ideas and as much as I would have liked drawing it all out and coloring it to go with these two panels, my inner creativity was pretty much squashed with this. ALSO, I REALIZE THAT THE POSSIBILITY OF ONE OF THE MIRACULOUSES BECOMING AKUMATIZED IS NOT PROBABLE, BUT I LIKED THE IDEA AAAASSHHHHHhhhhh

I'M PROUD OF IT THOUGH! It's been awhile since I've drawn something that I felt was quality good.
