Description
The Joker went to great lengths to keep his precious daughter safe, even if he openly exposed her to the harsh reality of the world she lived in from the day she was born. One of his methods of ensuring her security was keeping her completely anonymous, both to his rivals and to the law enforcement - and especially to the bat. Though the latter seemed to politely refer to her solely as "the Joker's daughter", he found it intriguing that every less flattering name people gave her were reflected off of him; they called her "the clown's brat", "the Cheshire kitten", or most often, "the Devilspawn". But it was fortunate she gathered such an armada of pet names. When her name was just as well kept a secret as his own real name, it limited the ways anyone could get to her.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
So I finished Jay's current design. I struggled long with the colour scheme; I was very tempted to colour her clothes purple, but somehow I figured that my variation of the Joker wouldn't dress her in "his colours", but rather in red and black to remind him of her mother, Harley Quinn. As for Jay's appearance, I aimed for something along the lines of "Sadako (from Ringu) meets Alice (from Madness Returns). Though most of her Sadako'esque features are more in the way she acts. I also chose to dress her in an old-fashioned, pretty dress, since the Joker walks around wearing a dinner suit all day; something I regard as formal wear.
