Description
They were all wrong. About her. About her Puddin'.They had been wrong about each other. She had delivered him her "I'm not a stupid bimbo!" speech about as many times as he had given his "I'm not a monster!" lament, but neither had listened to the other. It was only after when their paths were about to split permanently that they had finally heard each other.
And to think, it had never occurred to her it would have been that easy. Just asking him to stop. Just telling him it hurts.
She should have known. After all, she had been his doctor. She, if anyone, should have figured out he didn't comprehend he was hurting her. He didn't imagine her as a victim, but as a second-in-command, even perhaps a part of himself. When he didn't feel pain, her pain went unnoticed until she voiced herself. "Please don't hurt me anymore, Puddin'..." was all it had taken.
Well, he still slapped her around the face or belted her in the guts, but with so lesser force she had to play along. He had an image to keep, after all. Let no one think he'd have gone soft. She was an easier target to his rivals anyway, and should they suddenly realise she meant the world to him... she didn't want to think about it. Never, ever would she want to steal her Puddin's spotlight.
But when no one saw, he embraced her tight. He lifted her in his arms, kissed her with tenderness and passion. When no one saw, she was free to caress his face, his body, his hair, without fear of rejection or violent rebuttal. When no one saw, he was hers.

This is a very interesting take on their relationship! It never occurred to me that they would act violent towards each other because they had an image to keep up and not let enemies know how much they cared about each other. They have a very dark relationship, being psychos and all, but there's still some love there I think.

Thank you. It's still a work-in-progress, though.
