watercolour is my favourite medium) but when you draw with it the paper does matter. So I can advise you to get Arches and U'll draw better automatically)

about the paper: I have one Β 300g/mΒ². I hate doing aquarell but I think it's just because I don't know HOW to do it :/
I wet the paper where I want to color to be but it mostly dries too fast

May be not quite stories but thoughts and feelings which are developing during the viewing of this stuff.

why do you wet the paper? there is a technique when you draw on very wet paper but this is difficult. and it fits for the landscapes and textures and backgrounds, i think. i usually draw on dry paper, i make a wet spot with the brush and add colours here to make a transition between them. somethimes i mix a certain hue on paper to add it to the drawing but rarely. there is no need to have the same certain tone because in real life we have a lot of different colours and no one repeat itself.

yep, the paper have to absorb fast and youΒ have to draw fast: it's normal for that technique
/i mix it in a palette and on the paper sometimes. and also i add some new colour to the working area on the paper when needed.
