This is my entry for Kyraktos 's contest: fav.me/d71myub
The blue-haired girl is my OC Ryshin, and the brown-haired girl is her OC, Kyralii.
I know that Kyralii is a shy character, but it was said that she can swim and climb gracefully so I thought she could very well dance gracefully too. And she probably won't be too shy around Ryshin, mostly because my OC is a character who is not loud and don't talk much. With this, Kyralii will be comfortable in talking instead.
And Kyralii will teach my Ryshin to dance!
I really enjoyed drawing this.

The backgrounds lack of outlines actually made a clear difference of detail level between the characters and the background (There's a name for this, but I'm blanking on it right now!), so it's actually pretty good!
I also like the colors. I think that the shirt of Raishin could stand to be a bit more intense, but at the same time I understand that then it wouldn't contrast as well with the hair.

Thank you very much for your comment, and insight. I do think Raishin's clothes is not well shaded here or something, like really, it lacks something, but I couldn't see what it is. The only thing I liked here was the hair. T^T
But then overall, I still pretty like the scene

Good luck for the contest (although I just looked and saw that it was over... ! I like how this work feels like there's movement in it, with the flowy material of the clothes. Try throwing a few more shades in the background, it will help it feel a bit more 3D

I really suck at backgrounds, I kind of don't know how to make the backgrounds become more 3D or at least something that I see from awesome artworks :<
