One tribute simply doesn't feel like enough. I'm still grieving.
This was really hard to draw. I'm not talking from a technical stand point.
i'm crying again fuck's sake
Edit: I was kind of against posting this dialogue to go with the painting, as I worried that it would be sappy, but here goes. I imagine this would be the exchange:
'...?'
'I have to go now, little one. It's time.'
'... Why?'
'Because... That's the way things are.'
'... When will you come back?'
'Tack, I can't come back.'
'... Why not?'
'... Because when people die, they can't come back.'
'...'
'... Please don't cry, Tack. I can be with Milt, Ken, Chuck, Art, Grim and Emery now. And we won't ever have to part up here.'
'... But... Everybody is sad... because you're going. People are crying. And... What about all of your work? Who's going to finish it? And... What about your family? Who'll be there to take care of them?'
'...'
'... Why can't I come with you?'
'... Because... You need to be there for them. You have lots of people who love you very much. You have a young lady who thinks the world of you. I need you to take care of them for me. Because... You can never die... Life is precious, wondrous and beautiful. But it can't last forever.'
'...'
'... Be brave, Tack. I'll always be with you, even when you can't see me. I'm sorry that I have to go now.'
'... Oh, daddy... I'll miss you!'
'...'
'... I love you...'
'... Goodbye, Tack.'
'... Goodbye.'

nice another one beautifull tribute. Me to I have so much love the animation of the thief and the cobbler so much great work than he have never got the chance to finish it like he wanted to, but still a amazing work of animation .
