Inks and final colors.This is a hugely personal project for me and my friends who have been working on this for a long time. Tommy Yune (the writer) and I have been batting around stories for Speed Racer for years so its gratifying that we finally get to execute them. My good friends Robby Musso (interior art), and James Rochelle (colors) round out the creative team on this book. Tommy and I are also doing variant covers.
Special thanks to Tommy for the crash course in Manga styles and Dexter Odani for being a great continuity sounding board.

Congratulations on the gig. Speed Racer was my first favorite cartoon and holds a special place in my heart and imagination. I can't wait to read the new adventures.

I thought this looked "Tommy Yune-esque" with the nose designs, and the way you drew the vents on the Mach five's rear air scoops.
I like the fact that Snake Oiler, looks like Snake Oiler, and not the design they used for the movie. (I sonetimes think I'm the only man alive who enjoyed that film, and I liked the updates designs of most everything else in the movie--save for Snake Oiler. And the GRX. 
But I digress. Nice drawing, and I will definitely hound my local comic retatiler to order a copy of the book.
