I'd have to say this is pretty fantastic, although her breasts look a little bigger than they appear in the series. Β
Speaking of which I recently noticed that Shantae is voiced by Cristina Vee, who voices my favorite character in Skullgirls Cerebella, and now I can't stop thinking of a weird bullshit universe where Cerebella and Shantae have somehow had their roles reversed.Β

Do you think there's any sort of chance that Shantae could end up in Skullgirls as a guest character?
I know Mariel Cartwright is working on the animation for Half-Genie Hero, but I was just wondering if through her there may be some chance for crossover.

Right now I doubt it. Guest characters seem to be saved for characters that have a long story with Nintendo (or they are known and beg to get in like Snake), and Shantae still needs to gain a bit more fame for that to happen. Wayforward is still a small company too, which is why they needed the fundraiser for the latest game.
With that said, I would LOVE to see her on a smash game though, so maybe in some future it'll happen. I guess we'll have to wait!

Um... I don't mean to be rude, but I think you may have miss-read what I had asked. I wasn't talking about Shantae being in Smash, as neat as that may be, but her instead appearing in Skullgirls as a playable character.
I know everyone has Smash on the mind with the Wii U version, so I can understand where you would've made the mistake, though.

Ooooh, my bad then! Well in that case, I'd say is a definite no. Skullgirls has enough great characters, and I doubt they would go thru all the effort to make a crossover character.

Okay, I was just curious. To me it seemed certainly like a possibility, seeing as how certain people are working on both games and both games did come from crowdfunding and a loving support of gamers, but you're certainly right about Skullgirls having some incredibly good characters as it is right now. I especially loveΒ Big Band~
