Holy crap. It looks exactly like my favorite bridge in Chattanooga. I thought for a second you had been there. lol. It is a very cool floor.

Ah cool. Yeah, I think the cons down South are probably the best. I'm not a big fan of huge, just a little get-together of cosplayers. Too many people bother me. I'm just more of a loner.
It would be awesome to see you at one that I go to. Hope that you do eventually do that.

The only south cons I've hit were MTAC (twice, and it sucked both times), and then course, I hit Dallas every year for AFest (I DID do Akon once there, too, but it sucked so won't again).
I was thinking about trying for AWA this year, but not sure

Oh cool. I checked out all of those. Of course Dallas is too far away for me to go. My ex has been to AWA many times, so I think it must be pretty decent. I might consider that one if it's cheap. The one thing with my group is price. Bunches of them don't bother saving money, so they can never afford to spend more than 100$. And for making a costume and buying hotel and tickets. Whoo! Not cheap.

Yeah, I know how that is, since I cover two shares. But that's why I have to get an artist alley table to be able to afford a con, lol. I pay gas, hotel, and badges (if I don't do panels and get them compped) for meh and my mother (aka, my assistant inthe AA...sometimes it's actually someone else). I usually hafta spend like $250 on any given con, but I make enoughback with AA, so it's not bad. Dallas is a 16 hr drive for me, lol, but I love that con XD

Yeah, it's bad enough with just one. I can't imagine paying two shares, but once Josh and I are married, I'm sure it will be more me than him paying. Haha. I'm surprised you can make that much with AA though. I always see the tables swamped with people looking, but I've honestly never seen anyone BUY anything. LOL. I guess it's just because it's small cons. How much does a table usually run you?

I get lucky, and it took me years to make money back. It took me even time to break even, and the first couple years doing AA, I never did any outside of local cons. Sometimes the smaller cons are better than bigger for sales, even. It just depends. My main thing is that my wall of bookmarks is a great draw (apparently) and I literally sell out of at least 4 or 5 of my sets before the cons over, no matter how many I print. Liek I keep saying I wanna retire my Ouran host set (made it back in 2007) but that dang set keeps selling out D: I finally retired my Tsubasa set back in 2008, but that was mainly cause I wanted to reformat my bookmarks, hee hee XD

Ah yeah. Bookmarks are nice and practical, and something you can use and show off to your friends. lol. I can see why they keep selling out. I know I've heard a lot of people talk about Ouran Host, so I think it's pretty popular, even though I've never seen it (or read it, whatever the case may be). I imagine you'll always have a pretty good market for them.

Lol, Ouran Host was okay...but I got tired of it pretty quick. I drew it before that, at least, which is why it's at least decent, haha. But, since I have such a variety, too, there's like a bookmark for everyone. I have tons of different series done up, and I constantly add more

lol. It sounds like something I would do. I would like something so much that I wouldn't want to give it away, I'd want it for myself and have to do it over. LOL. I've done that with a couple of the stories I've written. Some are kinda awesome IMO.

Lol, well, at least with things like bookmarks, I do them digitally, so creating duplicates isn't a problem, but I've had like painting stuff, or plushies I've done by commission and I really didn't wanna give em up D: But alas, I had to, since they were paid from already. Lol, it's goo to love the stuff you do though, even if it's just a few of them~

no, it's in Detroit, MI. It's like Floor 2 or something of the Rennaissance Center. I was there all weekend and I can't tell ya, though we spent like all of our time in this area (the other photoshoot area we used was on the same floor XD ). Only place I've done cons in TN was MTAC in Nashville, though haven't done it in years XD

Oooh, awesome XD well, I probably won't be down there unless there's an anime con in the area, anyways, which means I'd be so broke I'd be eating sammiches I brought with me XD I go to cons with like no money and use what I make in AA to cover my food expenses XD

Lol, well, so far there's only been ONE con where I couldn't afford food, adn it wasn't that I didn't make enough, but it was cause my car got damaged and needed about $600 of work to fix it (later ended up being $1300), so I ur, couldn't spend the money I made. Thankfully, my bestest friend, aka my Edge cosplayer to my Faize, wouldn't let me starve. She shared her food with me the whole weekend

I had years of bad luck with that myself @_@ I actually met Komiko back in middle school, but we didn't become really good friends until high school, and now we're like inseperable XD It took some really hard times to actually realize just how good of friends we are, but I suppose our friendship is stronger because of it? I believe everyone one needs a good friend like that, though I think Komiko spoils me a bit too much at times. She'll randomly show up at my house and be like "I had a bad day at work, so I'm treating you to dinner" and then takes me to places like Olive Garden (I mean, I get she doesn't wanna go alone and I have no money, but stiiilll), or she'll stop by to drop off some little trinket or something she found that she just HAD to buy me. I mean, I've gotten her stuff, but she goes like crazy. I have a $75 bracelet from her she got me as a souvenoir when she went to a cruise in Alaska @_@ most expensive thing I've gotten her was probably the $40 fuurin I picked up for her in Japan. But it's not just one time, she does stuff like this ALL the time. She offered to take me out to the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday @_@ thankfully, I convinced her we're going karaoke with a group instead, lol, so we each pay our own share XD

That's nice. I have friends like that, but none of them are interested in cosplay. lol. They were supportive when I gave it a try though. Hehe. Komiko sounds like my friend Lauren. I love Olive Garden. It's so good.
Good friends will do that for you. If we can afford it, we always help each other out. And I tend to go a little overboard buying her gifts, but the most expensive one was about 60$.

Lol, I made the mistake of getting Komiko hooked on cosplay, so it's great. Everytime I say I wanna do some new character, she's always like "Kay, I'll do one to match!" She doesn't know half the characters she cosplays, llama XD so then we hafta teach her that. haha, I love pasta Yah, I agree. I'm sure there is plenty that I do for Komiko that I don't realize, and vice versa to her. Like earlier today, I'm fixing up my Albel costume, and I'm finally adding the boots. She literally held part of the ankle and sprayed it, and her hand, silver XD then she let me do the other ankle. Her hand was so silver, and we spent like an hour scrubbing it all off, hahahah XD

Oh wow. Not knowing who you're cosplaying is lame for me. I think part of the awesomeness of it is imitating your fave characters. It's cool that she wants to do that though. For her it must be fun.
Haha. I like spray paint. It's fun to use but it is sooooooo hard to get off. (And it's probably not very good for my health to breathe it in.) How did you make the boots, btw? My cousin is planning to cosplay Albel, and we're stuck on that.

Lol, well, every time she picks up a character she doesnt know, I coach her through it so she ends up knowing a bit about it. This past weekend, she took her Ichimatsu (MIXiM11) cosplay to the contest we went to and she did a great job explaining the character, despite the fact that she's only read some sporadic chapters here and there (she wants to read it all, just finding time to do it is another thing XD )
LOL! My tennis shoes are covered in it XD But i can get it off my hands pretty easily, nail polish remover, yay! I made the boots out of carpet foam. Just molded them around my Luka shoes (which are also going to BishieCon). I need to add one more piece if I have a chance, but if not, it will work. The ankle part of it is seperate piece, cause the way I did it XD I'll take a pic later and send it to ya
