:'D Wow, I kind of feel weird about having a photo of myself on here finally. Also, the fact that it's cosplay-related.

So, yeah, I'm a Homestuck fan. And I'm going to cosplay Gamzee Makara for an upcoming convention here in my hometown.

I finished his teeth tonight His horns will be next, and I'll definitely upload some photos, of course in much better quality than this. It's 12am and I just used my webcam

To make these I used:

1. Scissors (fingernail clippers would work well, if not better)
2. Plastic fake nails (mine were left over from a previous costume. The ones I used were about 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches long, but they can be shorter.)
3. Yellow and clear nail polish (just to make them look authentic)
4. Glue (just to keep the nail on the side of my finger so I could paint it)
5. Kleenex Tissues (To wipe off the nail polish)
6. Nail file

EDIT: Since my front teeth stand out so much, I am going to use some sort of black paint to outline where the teeth should be and look like. I have not tried this, so I do not know what I will be using or how it will work.

How I made them:
Step one:
I looked up a photo of Gamzee from the actual web comic, so that his actual teeth didn't get mixed up with someone else's interpretation. This is just important to me; I like to be accurate.
See where Gamzee's (or another troll's) teeth end and how long each of them are and try to cut your teeth to match that.

Step two:
Fit the nails to your teeth.
Note: Not all of your teeth are the same size. My canine teeth are different sizes. I hate to use a smaller on for the right and a bigger one for the left. Make sure to fit every tooth!

Step three:
Start cutting.
Try to keep the teeth relative to your troll's tooth size. Don't make them too long (they might pop off while you're talking) and don't make them too short (your actual teeth might show through).
For Gamzee, I had to make two different sets of teeth because his canines are longer than his other teeth. :/

Step four:
File down your tooth/nail.
This is so that it doesn't look like you just cut a nail into a sharp point (even though you did). Make it look natural.
I made mine pretty blunt because Gamzee's teeth aren't that sharp. And I didn't want to poke myself when I talked XD

Step five (this step and the ones after it are optional):
After I filed down the nail so it looked natural, I glued it to my finger. I did this because when I paint over it with the yellow, I don't want it to slip and the nail polish to dry. (It slipped many times before I got this idea XD) I put the nail on the side of my left index finger (this can be opposite if you're left handed) just so I would have better access to the nail.
Note: Don't use superglue or any type of strong glue. Just something strong enough to keep it there. It shouldn't hurt when you peel the nail off your finger.

Step six:
Paint over it with a thick layer of yellow nail polish and wipe it off not even a second after with a Kleenex tissue. This will stain it just lightly with a natural yellow, since I'm sure not everyone's teeth are perfectly white.

Step seven:
Paint over that with a clear coat and you're done!
The clear coat will help set the yellow and it will make it smoother so that your lips don't move or pop the nail off when you're talking.

Apply some denture cream or some other type of teeth-safe glue. In this photo, for the sake of not having any supplies to glue them, I just stuck them to my teeth without anything to hold them there. :/ I do not recommend this. They will not stay. And you cannot talk at all like that.

NOTE: These are NOT suitable for eating or drinking or everyday wear!
