Here's who Marla Brenner (from the Playmobil Movie) remind me of, for the most part atleast since I actually watched Spirited Away after Playmobil, but whatever:

-Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Why: They both start out optimistic for the most part (While Homura was more shy at first, before becoming more optimistic in timeline 2) before coming more serious as time went on to protect the one they love (Madoka for Homura, Charlie for Marla). However, while Marla gained back her more adventurous side, Homura... (REBELLION SPOILERS AHEAD) took a more clingy path with Madoka and became a demon (SPOILERS END HERE).)
-Iroha Tamaki from Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story (Why: They're both older siblings who's goal in their adventure is to find their younger sibling (Ui for Iroha, Charlie for Marla), who had disappeared (captured in Marla's case). However, unlike Iroha's case, Charlie doesn't vanish from everyone's memory, and is captured during the events of the movie.)
-Chihiro Ogino from Spirited Away (I'm not sure if this actually counts since I watched Spirited Away for the first time AFTER Playmobil, but I still noticed some connections now that I think about it, and I also wanted to fill all the boxes, so yeah, here we go. Why: They both end up for a magic otherworld with some of their family (parents for Chihiro, brother for Marla), who end up undergoing a transformation of sorts into another form (Chihiro's parents become pigs, Marla and Charlie become Playmobil), and they have to find a way to save said family. Marla's Playmobil form and Chihiro even look somewhat alike!)
-Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (Why: They both end up in another world with someone close to them (Spike for Twilight, Charlie for Marla) and undergo a transformation in the progress (Marla and Charlie become Playmobil, Twilight and Spike become a human and dog respectively). I mainly took this connection due to how Marla and Twilight react to their new forms, and how they realise by looking at their hands, although looking back now, they act somewhat similar too.)
