Forest of Time Lore

Considered as holy grounds, the lost Forest of Time is another natural mystery the WWKL are trying to solve. All the facts point to this place being another home to the wyverns, but nothing can be proven for it. There's no homes, none of those strange towers that appear in every wyvern city. The only clue that leads them to believe they lived here is the location. The Forest of Time and the Northern city are direct parallels and in the same place as the ones in the west and east, it makes sense they’d build it here, in a strange way at least.

The forest is a mystery because of the thin gold rings that circle the forest from above the trees. Each of these circles mark the end or beginning to a new part of the forest. With a new part of the forest comes a different time in the world. The edges are the present, the middle is the past and the dead center is undetermined. No one had made it to the center circle, flying down into it is ruled out, as the trees are way too thick for anyone to fly into the forest.
Every month the times switch, whether it be different seasons to different forests, the Forest of Time is never the same. It’s the perfect place for a mystery.

A small town is at the mercy of the forest, staying on it’s edges and wrapping around the entire forest, this town is the oldest in all of Kyrius. These dragons are completely unaware of the human and dragon rivalry and live in perfect harmony. Humans and dragons living perfectly in peace. Many dragons go there to live with the thought of wars ending, some old dragons and cursed go to spend their last days there just to be in a future that’ll never happen.

Residents of the forest believe the forest is holy because of the miracles it’s pulled for them. They say the forest’s spirit stalks the trees and helps those in need, one summer the spirit brought them food and water when a terrible drought hit their homes and dried even their trees. They’re in such debt to this spirit that they have a dedicated day for it, when they leave food out on their window sills to feed the hungry spirit that works so hard for them.

These dragons are heavy believers that magic is real, they’ve seen it happen after all. With the necklaces that are somehow given to each child who was born here, they’re able to walk in the forest with no effects, these necklaces are greatly sought after by everyone. Their necklaces couldn’t be removed however, once you put it on, it’ll grow with you and always be around your neck. These have mixed reviews, some say it’s a blessing, others say it's a curse and others say it's money. Dragons born in the Forest of Time aren’t the only ones who get these necklaces, anyone born in the forest gets one. Cursed and Humans that live in the forest also bear these dreamcatcher-like necklaces.

Rumors have it that this was the home of the MidNight Dove, which is sadly extinct from over hunting. They say deeper in the forest, near the center, their songs echo in the trees and you can still find their feathers on the ground. MidNight Doves were the only bird that could use actual time travel, hopping back and forth from time to time to feed their chicks with their food of the past. They disappeared from over hunting only recently, when the last one in captivity was killed by a dragon hunter for game. They said their feathers were black with beautiful swirls of purple and deep blue. Now, they're gone… a shame really.
