Such a great shot! how do you get so close?
I saw a kingfisher the other day but it was so far away from the hide that 800mm and then taking 1/4 of that image in the crop left a tiny bird in the frame.

In the last 10 days I and a friend of mine have fixed an abandoned hunting hide, we have created a little set with the branches and feed the little birds :-P
the first day we saw only some Poecile Palustris and Troglodytes Troglodytes but finally these two wonderful birds came (both male and female but I've photographed only the female).
In this photo I've focused on the stick and use a very closed shutter (in fact the bird is a little out of focus :-P )
