My submission to 's Pokemorphs project. I had promised I'd throw in a quartet of my creations, old and new and from different settings and I aim to keep this promise.

Gardevoirs are known as the Embrace Pokemon, known best for being selfless individuals that are willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of protecting their loved ones. Nigel missed that memo, apparently. Ever since he was still a Ralts he's had a noticeable dislike of getting too physical with anyone, even his family. On the day he and his twin brother Joshua, then Kirlia, were to go to the family gathering to celebrate their evolutionary Rite of Passage, Nigel ran away just as he was about to be given his own Dawn Stone to become an Gallade. The very idea of becoming half-Fighting and being forced to use his body to battle sickened him, and would rather live his life as a feminine-looking Gardevoir than to submit himself to that. Joshua's respect for his twin died significantly since that day and the two have barely been on speaking terms ever since.

It was sometime after that that Nigel was practically forced to enroll into a school Team as a means of learning to quell his rebellious nature and perhaps learn a little discipline. He now (grudgingly) plays the support specialist for the experimental Team Crossroads, so called because of its members hailing from all four corners of the world. Nigel is its Hoenn-born representative.

Nigel's dislike of getting overly physical have made him develop a fighting style consisting heavily on both manipulative (like Imprison, Hypnosis and Charm) and defensive (Calm Mind, Double Team, Protect) moves to keep foes at bay, all so he can keep his hands clean. He has ways to go before he can truly be a team player, of course, but with any luck he'll get there someday -- especially since his twin brother Joshua recently joined a rival team and waits for the day the two can finally settle their differences in the arena.

Nigel Garkirl the Gardevoir originally started off as an experiment (that was, yes, how do you make this thing look masculine) that got a helluva makeover with this revamp, only thing remaining from his old design is the ring piercings on the "skirt". Also, the addition of legs (don't ask).

The armband's supposed to be designed after a Luxury Ball, which is supposed to make Pokemon friendlier. Nigel's doesn't work, apparently
