...so, like, I went and colored this pic [link] For the sake of needing a sketch to work with (scanner's not working and I wasn't up to digi-sketching anything tonight). Cel-shade and backround are supposed to look like that, as I was trying to emulate the very thing Zaythe is a fan-character of: Dragon Booster.

Yeah, you heard me. Shush.

Actual color scheme was an itch-with-a-b, since dragon colors are a big deal in Dragon Booster-verse.

(fangirl) Zaythe is a Sickle-class dragon, Draconium color is Azure. Also known as the "Blade-wings" and "Screechers", this dragon shares traits from its Turquois, Blue and Light-Blue descendants. Their 'wings' are not for flying, but rather for engaging in run-past manuvers that slices at the flanks of other, unarmored dragons.
Azure dragons are compatible with Black, Purple, Blue, Grey, Light Blue, Turquoise and White gear types; some riders especially favor using the gear to beef up the wings, either by giving them armor-penetrating add-ons (Purple) or even specialized gear that allows the dragon the ability to glide short distances (Blue or White).
Because the species is fairly new and its full capabilities still being verified, there's no Azure-specific Dragon Crew formed yet. The Azure Draconium is even more mysterious than its dragon - dangerously so, in a way, as it's use is yet to be discovered...and the fact that most other dragons can't seem to even mag-join with it (some say even the Golden Dragon of legend is incompatible with it, since Azures did not exist during the era of the first Dragon-Human wars) make it that much more valuable.
