I'll bet this Merlin, who appears to be a bit judgey, thought "I'm high enough in this tree that no one will bother me." Honestly, this was one of the most cooperative birds I've had the pleasure of photographicing with the exception of being about 10 feet higher in the tree than I would have liked. I was able to get a lot of great looks and great photographs and the patience of this Merlin outlasted my wife and kids' desire to remain at the park.
