Unfortunately, there's been a lot of these going around lately. Seems some people have nothing better to do than to cause problems for other people. I highly doubt the individual can draw a stick figure, so for them to be criticising another artist's work is uncalled for.
Just don't take it personally, and definitely don't let it discourage you. I've discovered one thing about flamers - if you take the negative energy they exude and turn it into something positive, it's a slap in the face to them. I have a single individual who has made it her goal to target me - personally - and at first I used to get royally pissed when she attacked me (verbally) on-line. Then, one day, I realized I was just feeding her negativity and that the best way to respond would be to just put out more of what she apparently doesn't like. So, I'd turn the negative energy around and use it to produce something positive. I guess in some bizarre way I should give thanks to my personal flamer, because some of my best fanart/fanfiction has come on the heels of one of her flames. I won't let someone like her stop me - that would be letting her win, after all.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. But, hang in there and whatever you do, don't let an idiot like that get you down. For every one of them on DA there are thousands of great people here.

Thanks! That's what I've been trying to do. I got irritated after a while becuae he wouldn't go away, but it looks like he went on with his life. The only thing I'm sad about is the fact that I don't have anyone to play with..
Yah, I know not to let him get to me. It's a little difficult, but meh. I've gotten negativ feedback before from a friend at school and I tried to not let her get to me; she didn't flame me exactly just pointed out my mistakes. Like you said, they actually help us!
