FINISHED! Probably will look back tomorrow and see somethign to tweak, but ultimately, this thing is DONE. 24~25+ hours worth of coloring and it's done T_THope you like it, ^^-

Daaaang! This one is really detailed. The coloring turned out really good! I love all the blue bubbly things on the red griffin...very jewel-like and pretty. Good work!

hi...wow...i love all the detail and everything! it is beautifully done. What medium did you use...it looks like pastel or watercolor, but i cant tell. on what paper too? i love it.

The sketch was done in regular old boring mechanical pencil on computer paper and was scanned and fully colored and everything in Painter IX via mouse ^^ Took QUITE a long time, but it was fun~

This is really amazing, im gonna have to +watch you, the detail is supurb. you also managed to make the lighting correct even though the birds were light and dark coulers
soz just a quick question, how would you compare painter 8 to photoshop for this kind of stuff???

Painter 8 > Photoshop :B Painter is just more smooth and allows to make more believable pictures... also if you want a painted or traditional media effect, Painter is very nice. Photoshop, well, you can just TELL when someone uses that (especially when they're inexperienced or use that little lens flare thing or the other filters)

I've been learnign a lot of various techniques to achieve different effects in Painter ^^ And the experimentation with shading white was a nice learning experience too~ Just gotta finish up the wings....
