Description This was really a lot of fun to make! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!

New alternative title: "I think I'm lost"

Edit: Some little tweaks here and there but also changed the shadow. Hopefully it fits better now!

Many thanks to:
~Fallen-Immortal for the cave ([link] )
*Drezdany-stocks for the polar bear ([link] ) and the penguin ([link] )

Thank you for the critique. You got me there, I'm not terribly good with shadows and you're not the first to mention that. So I'm still trying to get it right

heh, kein problem ^^

I think most people would agree that this is adorable, at first sight.
There's just something about big, bumbling bears, penguins, and the icy wasteland that appeals to the senses.

The photo manipulation is done wonderfully; at first I assumed it was a digital painting with use of stock images.
I personally think it's much more difficult to make a a cohesive image with manipulation, so major props to you!

As a digital painter myself though, I suggest trying to focus the image even more than you have.
I noticed how you used the coloring, from the pale teal to the warm yellow green, leading the eye from the bear, to the penguin (which is a wonderful positive space element, by the way), to the light and landscape beyond.
Even more though!
You can never push the composition enough, I say.

Try adding more cools to the edges, maybe make the blues darker.
Push that brilliance of the light by making it so bright in contrast to everything else.

I'm not saying this needs any sort of retouching, though. It's already great, but keep the tips in mind for later!

Also, to wrap it up, I love the joke on the north and south pole meeting e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="LOL - "/>
Just adorable and witty.

Thank so much for the critique. I tried your suggestion before but I had the feeling that it ripped the picture apart, so I left it as it is. Also it looks more natural and realistic that way (as realistic as this picture gets

No problem at all, I really admire your work!

I see though, it's hard to get the look right, so I can understand.
And I agree that it is very realistic the way you have it, anyway. xD

Keep it up!
