I made this illustration for Mistiqarts' contest on Instagram!
This month's theme was ''galaxy'' and I noticed, that I've never done a universe or galaxy related drawing!
So I thought this would be the perfect challenge for me!
And I actually had A LOT of fun doing this. It took quite a while, especially the galaxy, but I think it was totally worth the time!

I also thought about a little story behind this piece...

So this is the Goddess of Alchemy and she's living in a big black hole, like the big empty in the series ''supernatural''.
She's completely alone there, but she can look into different universes and realities.
After billions of years she wants to get rid of her lonelyness, so she decides to create her own reality, in which she can travel around and be with other beings. It takes her another billion of years to create her own world and she keeps it in that wooden chest.
When she finally finished it, she is really happy to release her world out of the chest and let it fill up the big dark space that she's in.
She feels like if something big is relieved off of her shoulders when she opens the box.
And now she's finally able to live that life she always wished for.
