Really love the texture in the hair and the shading. The intense green in her eyes makes a nice contrast ^^ Although I think it might have been nicer to see her against a slightly more colorful background. Wish I could give photoshop tips but paint tool sai is my go-to.

sai is my go-to as well!!! it has been for years, but im really trying to adjust to something more known as professional for the future lol
and i actually started this with the intention to paint a natural background, but i lowkey got a little lazy towards the end? i gotta work on that stuff more

Pff ME xD I hate backgrounds with a passion and it's like, when you're starting out in art and everything you do is kind of terrible, you can kind of get away with it because everything is at the same level of bad. But once you start to hyperfocus on certain aspects and get good at them but then neglect others you have like a super rendered face but wonky anatomy and ugly backgrounds (<-- my art x_x) But it's a work in progress c:

i actually just got accepted to art school! and i kind of figure they'll use photoshop lots there? im not sure though lol, thats my biggest reasoning
also mood!!! uGH its starting to feel like i'll never draw a background that feels good enough for deviantart hahah. and an art trade or collab sometime would be so rad !!!!!

Oh congrats! That sounds super exciting. Ooh I see. I'd look into that because maybe you're stressing about a new program when you could stick with sai? Although I can see the benefits of learning to use it since it's so well-known and popular in the industry. Do you know what you'd like to do after art school?
