Description Mi-24 with a spare pilot Β  It is a bit strange, but not manipulated. The reflection of a face on the pilots cabin comes form the weapon operator (sitting in front of pilot). The cabins are separated, so the reflection is visible thanks to the bubble shape of the windows.

I'm not sure about the reflection, it could be that this isn't a reflection but the face of a third man. You know the pilot's cockpit is connected to the rear troop-utility compartment through a narrow passage and the face is perfectly positioned in that very same passage. Initially Mi-24s were flown with a crew of 3 (pilot, weapon's systems officer, engineer). In this case (you probably made this photo during an air show) i'm pretty sure this is a flight guide/director to assist with their aircraft routine.

This particular paint scheme is a special replica scheme of Liberator GR Mk. VI "K/PP" flown by No 311 (Czechoslovak) Squadron, RAF Coastal Command during World War II

Very nice shot btw!!!

Thanks you may be right it is a person from the compartment. The photo was made at the NATO Days in Ostrava. Thanks for the information about the painting scheme.

Very unusual. I've seen it for the first time. I don't know the origin of this colour scheme. The air intake covers are painted in the same way as Alien Hind, but I doubt that two Hinds are going to be painted in the same way.

type in browser "alien hind" and you will see very unusual "comouflage" of Mi-24. I've seen it and it is unforgettable. Unfortunatelly I do not have good photos of it.

I checked it out.Β  Never seen that one before, but it truly is a work of art.Β  The Czech AF seem to be having some fun with their "camo" schemes.

Took me a minute to spot the "third" pilot. Β Interesting!

It took me a while as well. At the begining I didn't noticed the reflection. I've even decided it's not sharp enough to publish it.
